Fall League Benefits

Saturday September 9, 2017 Founders Memorial Rink, 570 Somerville Ave, Somerville MA (Smaller Rink) Adult Tournament (18 ) Divisions: Open (A/B Levels) & Recreational Divisions (C Level). See above for explanation of skill levels or each division. 4 Teams in Each Division Max. 1 Free Agent Team in Each Division. Don't wait to Register Your Team! Space is Limited!! Dates: Saturday September 9, 2017. Games begin at 10:00am and ends by 5:00pm Format: Three 22 minute games guaranteed (11 minute halves). Plus Championship Game.
Top 2 teams in each division will make the championship. Team Cost: $350 per team ($43 per player based on 8 players) Team Deposits: In order to hold your teams spot at least a $100 deposit must be made when registering the team. Individual Costs: $50 Free Agent Skaters & $25 Free Agent Goalies (1 free agent team per division) Teams: Teams should consist of 6-10 skaters and at least 1 goalie. Raffles: Each Captain will receive one entry into a drawing for a Brand New All Black Hockey Stick! Prizes: Gift to each player upon arrival. Team Trophy and Championship T-Shirts. After Party: Tavern in the Square, Porter Square.
Games are 22 minutes long (two 11 minute halves). 3 Games Guaranteed.
1st game of the hour is on a clean sheet and 2nd game of an hour is on a used sheet. We will try to rotate teams so everyone gets to play on a new sheet and used sheet of ice. Zamboni will resurface the ice every hour.
All penalties result in a penalty shot
Each team gets one 30 second time out per game
Tie-Breakers after points: Head-to-head, GD, GA, GF, Least amount of Penalty mins, Coin Flip
Round Robin and Playin Games: At the end of regulation the game can end in a tie
Playoff games: At the end of regulation if the game is still tied there will be a 3 minute sudden death OT. If still tied at the end of OT then there will be a shootout. See the rule tab below for shootout info.

Skills Clinic & Mini Games
During the Skills Clinic we will be working on individual skill development by focusing on skating, edge work, stick-handling, shooting, passing and other hockey related drills to make you a better all-around better player. This clinic will help you prepare and improve yourself for the upcoming season.
Mini games after the clinic to work on what you learned!!
Limited to 30 player spots and 6 goalie spots
10:00am: Players use 2/3 ice and do power skating and edge work.
11:00am: Players take 2/3's of ice and work on stick handling, passing, faceoffs & zone positioning 12:00pm: Players & Goalies work on 1v1, 2v1, 3v2, zone drills, 3x3 mini games. Full ice game if time allows
10:00am: Goalies use 1/3 of ice and work on technique, movements, skating etc. 11:00am: Goalies use 1/3 of ice and do shooting drills with a goalie coach. 12:00pm: Goalies and Players work on 1v1, 2v1, 3v2, zone drills, 3x3 mini games

This is a co-ed novice & low intermediate (C & D) level adult skills clinic. All ages welcome (18 ).
Great program for players who are new to hockey and looking to gain skills and experience. Great for players getting back into the game after taking some time off or injury. Also, great for players getting ready for their Fall seasons. This is a friendly and relaxed one day clinic with great coaches that will help you develop into a better player.
Everyone will make the team. We are just determining what level charity games, leagues and tournaments you will be eligible to play in. Current players are welcome to sign-up to come out and play or watch/evaluate. All new players who would like to join the team must come to the tryout.
Saints players will receive a discounted rate on any MA Hockey League's that the Saints team will be entering. If you have a preference in a league that'd you'd like to see a Saints team entered in please let me know by emailing email@example.com.
